“Cori-anna College”

PROJECT: children

from the ground up - food, shelter & safety

The first school of its type in the Elemyonga village, Cori-Anna College started in 2017 as a primary school for vulnerable children. In response to the great need in the Elemyonga village & surrounding community this quickly expanded to include children from as young as 2 years old. These children have either been orphaned or abandoned as many were conceived as a direct result of sexual terrorism. They have so far lived a life where they feel unwanted and are seen as an inconvenience and embarrassment in the community. Until the Cori-Anna College community was established; these young children had no home, food, family or any opportunity to improve their situation. Their daily existence was to seek shelter in the jungle, steal or beg for food, and hope no one would prey on their vulnerability.

As of 2024 we have over 30 children attending Cori-anna college

they receive 2 meals a day, clothing and a safe place to sleep.

Through the ‘Dignity Dress’ project we have clothed those who were lacking. As a result, they are being pulled from rejection into dignity.

Our teachers keep the children safe during the day and share their knowledge with educational resourses.

The cook provides 2 nutritious meals a day ensuring the children do not go hungry.

Children without families have been ‘adopted’ by Malaika Mummas. They ensure the children have a safe place to sleep at night.

The Security Guard brings safety and security to their lives. They no longer need to worry about who may prey on them.

In full cycle, our teachers have had their uniforms made by the Malaika Mumma’s, which gives legitamacy to the college.

For as little as $7AUD per week you can contribute towards feeding and supporting the needs of a child in Cori-anna College community.

Your donation provides support, teachers, security, supplies and 2 meals a day for these children.
